A tool to help plan rural electrification
DEMAND ANALYST estimates the evolution of electricity demand for each locality within the studied area throughout the planning period. This allows for optimal sizing and planning of the equipment needed for electrifying a village or a group of localities. Unlike traditional “top-down” forecasting methods, our software employs a detailed “Bottom-up” analysis, evaluating demand from each end user—such as different classes of households, public services, and businesses—based on socio-economic surveys.
With its user-friendly interface, DEMAND ANALYST simplifies the management and editing of demand forecast results. It offers customizable scenarios and easy integration of parameters and assumptions, making it accessible for all users.
DEMAND ANALYST enables the anticipation of energy demand in localities, enhancing the optimization of electrification project sizing through its various functionalities:
- Customization of the Study Area: Manage requests for individual localities separately from the overall requests for a group of localities.
- Planning Duration: Adjust planning according to national needs and practices.
- Regionalization of Parameters: Modify parameter values based on different geographic areas.
- Specific Requests: Address productive uses that require significant power but may not be located within the localities.
- Study Scenarios: Analyze up to three different energy service scenarios simultaneously.
- Detailed Demand Outputs: Generate comprehensive data including annual consumption, peak demand, number of customers (LV/MV), and average load curves.
