DAP

DAP (Demand Analysis and Planning) is a software designed to forecast energy demand and peak load, to prepare actions to control electricity demand (MDE).

DAP includes four forecasting applications:

  • Simple Trend Forecasting
  • Sector Trend Forecasting
  • Customer Trend Forecasting
  • DSM Forecasting

These applications are designed for advanced aggregate driver management, incorporating multivariate linear regressions, loss scenarios, and pricing analysis.

For Medium and Low Voltage (MDE) forecasting, the equipment is specified with its nominal power. Each “sector-region” pair can be assigned a usage profile, and expansion factor tables are used to represent the natural smoothing of the load curve when aggregating consumers. Tariffs are modeled using polynomials based on consumption (active, capacitive, and inductive) and peak load, allowing for a detailed assessment of the financial impact on distributors.

DAP offers four demand forecasting methods, catering to different levels of detail based on available data and time constraints. It supports forecasts from the simplest to the most detailed, covering all equipment at the “MDE forecast” level. For each sector and region, a suitable method is applied, with aggregation options available for regional or national forecasts.
