As part of the ENERGOS program funded by the European Union in Côte d’Ivoire, we were selected to support the Ministry of Energy and CI-ÉNERGIES. Our role involves conducting studies for the development of large biomass power plants (greater than 20 MW), and low-power solar and biomass power plants (5 MW) in rural areas.
Activities carried out on the biomass plant component
- Identification of biomass resource deposits
- Examining logistical and transport aspects, and selecting suitable sites for biomass power plants installation
- Conducting feasibility and preliminary design studies for biomass power plants
- Economic and financial analysis of preliminary studies
- Assisting the client in preparing CFT (Call For Tenders) for the construction of power plants by Independent Power Producers (IPPs)
- Assisting the consultation and negotiation processes with IPP biomass plant operators
- Strengthening skills and training for executives of the General Directorate of Energy and CI-ÉNERGIES
Activities carried out on renewable energy plants in rural areas
- Identification of deposits of biomass, solar, and hydroelectricity resources in areas where the electricity network requires reinforcements
- Selection of locations where constructing biomass and solar power plants can alleviate electrical constraints
- Conduction of feasibility, preliminary design, and detailed design studies for biomass and solar power plants
- Economic and financial analyses
- Assisting the client with the preparation of CFT (Call For Tenders) for constructing biomass power plants by IPPs and solar power plants by EPC companies
- Supporting the consultation and negotiation processes for contracts
- Enhancing skills and providing training for executives of the General Directorate of Energy and CI-ÉNERGIES
