Large-scale deployment of solar kits and solar pumping systems: first studies in Indonesia and India

1995

“Rural electrification: the transition to large-scale”, Organization with ADEME of the International Workshop of Marrakech, which brings together precursors from the Asian, African and Latin American continents. Until the dawn of the 2000s, we mainly carried out advocacy, studies and strategic consulting missions

1998

Creation of our first subsidiary in Burkina Faso

1999

Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Urban Development: for 7 years, we support the association of companies in the industrial zone of Sidi Bernoussi (Izdihar, Casablanca, Morocco) in energy efficiency, environmental protection and social measures in the area slums

2002

Turnover exceeds one million euros

2003

At IED’s initiative, launch of the ER Club, now an international NGO, which brings together the national agencies and structures in charge of rural electrification in Africa. From 4 countries at its creation, the ER Club will have 30 in 2015, date IED withdrawed from the Club’s technical secretariat

2006

In Laos, we are assuming the installation of 10,000 individual solar kits, and are responsible for the maintenance and operation of a fleet of 17,000 kits for 5 years

2007

IED becomes a software publisher with the development and marketing of our first electrification planning software GEOSIM

2008

First project management contract for a major rural electrification project by extension of the network (Cameroon)

2010

Our sectors of activity are growing strongly, with the development of the renewable energy sector and the global awareness of the challenges of sustainable development. New actors, big actors, are looking to penetrate the market. It was the beginning of a decade of increased competition, David versus Goliath

2011

Creation of IED Invest, developer and operator of small renewable energy plants in developing rural areas

2013

Commissioning of our first gasifier plant in Cambodia (70 kW) which supplies the mini grid of the village of Charchuck

2014

Our capacity building activity is being structured and we offer a range of training courses dedicated to the electricity and energy sector

2016 -1

On behalf of AFD, the British Cooperation and the European Union, we manage a subsidy line dedicated to green mini-grid operators and its technical assistance in Kenya

2016 -2

Development and marketing of our GISELEC software for the electrical and mechanical calculation of MV/LV distribution networks

Acquisition of the software specialized in the analysis and planning of the electricity sector GAP (Generation), NAP (Transport) DAP (demand forecasting) from Systems Europe

Commissioning of our Sra Emm gasifier plant in Cambodia (800 kW) by injection into the national grid

IED Invest launches itself as an EPC for small bioelectricity solutions using gasifiers, through the recovery of biomass residues

Turnover exceeds 8 million euros, with 25 employees at the head office and 120 employees at our sites

iED Consult is committed to the modelling of long-term energy transition trajectories towards carbon neutrality (LT-LEDS), with a multi-sectoral approach

True to our values and history, we have been present for more than 30 years in the renewable energy and access to electrical services sector, with references in studies and engineering in more than 80 countries. We have sold and deployed more than 350 licenses of our digital solutions in 28 countries on 4 continents and trained more than 550 agents over the past 10 years. We have become operators of renewable energy plants in 3 countries, EPC installers of EPC gasifiers in 3 countries

Since its creation, our Social Fund has supported more than 105 projects in line with the SDGs and the reduction of inequalities, led by employees at headquarters or in our subsidiaries
